This blog was created as part of DPI-659, a module titled “Media, Politics and Power in the Digital Age”, taught at the Harvard Kennedy School in Fall 2010. The posts here probably do not reflect the opinions of the other residents of Binney St.
The Terry Pot is a brown earthen vase from Lombok, Indonesia, a little more than one foot in diameter, which sits on a side table near my front door. I used to empty my pockets — keys, coins, letters, sweets — onto the side table but my wife constantly complained by the untidiness. The Terry Pot is now where I put those things; within it, pocket-sized objects take refuge until I get around to keeping them properly. Some items have remained in the Pot for years.
TheTerryPot.info is likewise a place of refuge for thoughts which have no home, where they can reside until I file them somewhere.
